that have been performed by FEBRUARI 93 in a slightly
rocky way. The band has a fascination for calmer and laid
back sounds and the music is wonderfully relaxing. Even the minimal
doom influences fit great into the whole thing and it's a real
benefit for the silent hours, especially if you like the
sound of the Swedish language. The coverartwork looks
very great as well and the chosen colours and the
painting (an evening or morning atmosphere at a river) make this CD a
beautiful release all the way through

vocalist Ayna Johansen and saxophone player Mari Solberg, in addition to the

so inedible that Misanthropy Records gave them the boot. Simultaneously, this
song was perceived as so inedible that Supernal Music decided to sign them. The
other two songs were recorded with the aid of vocalist Karianne Horn and again
saxophone player Mari Solberg. This is avantgrade black metal in the highest
order.

Nearly two years after the release of the CD "Nordland", Apoptose is back, but
this time treading on unexpected musical paths. Only occasionally does one still
feel a faint breeze from the barren landscapes of the north, for on "Blutopfer"
a special ritual of the south is celebrated: the Easter drumming processions of
the little Spanish village of Calanda. Following a stay in Calanda in 1998,
Apoptose could not forget the impression this festival made, since the
primordial power of these archaic rhythms and the magic of the blood that flows
from the hands of the drummers touches anyone who has ever witnessed it. The
decision was made then to compile an album from the hours of documentary
recordings which came into being during this time. However, it was not until the
year 2001 that the time was finally right to start the project that in 2002
reached its final form in the CD "Blutopfer". The title is the German term for
"blood sacrifice". Already in the past, the film director Luis Buńuel, who was
born in this village, and the industrial/avantgarde legend Vagina Dentata Organ
have drawn inspiration from the festival of Calanda. On the now long
out-of-print cult LP "The Pagan Drums of Calanda", released in 1985 by Vagina
Dentata Organ, the rhythm stood for itself alone and provided an insight into
this impressive event. In contrast, with "Blutopfer" Apoptose decided to newly
conjure up the unique emotions, images, and trance states that this 36-hour drum
frenzy evokes, and also to present a broader cross-section of the repertoire of
the village. The partly-chaotic and partly-precise rhythms, which for centuries
have annually caused the village of Calanda to tremble during Easter, are in
this way now embedded into a dark apoptotic soundscape. While naturally no sound
recording is able to fully reproduce the spiritual power and true dimensions of
this tremendous ritual, nevertheless "Blutopfer" opens the door a crack into a
world that is far from everyday reality and where nothing seems to exist except
for the collective rhythm of the drums.

Bocksholm is a collaboration project between two well known industrial bands:
Raison d'ętre and Deutsch Nepal.After some years of confusion by having two
persons with the name Peter Andersson, both grown up in the small industrial
town Boxholm, in Sweden, and both making industrial music since long on the Cold
Meat Industry label, there was almost no choice but to collaborate with each
other in a project named Bocksholm (the old spelling of Boxholm). "Excursions by
the Bank of the Black River" is their first album release, now available on CD
from Tesco Organisation. Sonically this should sound like a mix between Raison
d'ętre and Deustch Nepal. Maybe it does, but not in the way you thought it would
sound. Instead, this album probably makes you a bit confused with strange
sounds, enigmatic layered industrial drones and machine-like sounds, blended
together with occasional voices from the weird virtual chief of Boxholm
municipal council. This first musical output reflects the bad childhood
environment because of the ironworks in Boxholm. Most of the source sounds are
even recorded in this town, particularly at the ironworks with surrounded areas,

one Gerald Stevens. His music touches many musical fields, like musique

unique thing. Taking sounds from the city (part1-7) or his former home (8-12),
feeding them through synths and other effect boxes, a dense field of noisy
ambient concrete music arises. Certainly towards the end, this disc reaches it's
peak with very well crafted soundscapes of an austere beauty. This, an the

After some time of silence, the General of Deutsch Nepal - Lina Baby Doll and
the Grandmaster of cold made audiable - Benni Nilsen, decided to put some more
effort into their co-operationproject Janitor. Its like an endless list to
mention all the project Peter Andersson was involved in, here just to name the
well known ones: Deutsch Nepal, Frozen Faces, Bocksholm, Lina Baby Doll and
Thurnemans. Janitor has already released a well received LP called " Richie" on
the homebased "Generalstab" label of Peter Andersson, this CD is one step ahead
in perfection of sound and the use of the distinctive voice of Lina. They packed
their equiptment into an old house in the woods, far from every drop of alcohol
and other civilisation, the result came fast - "Receiving a flower on Mother´s
Day" is a mixture of dark sound-scapes, futuristic psychedelia and bubblegum-industrialmusic.
